I look at some of the comments and, of course, many Aspies respond, which is fine and dandy. There's nothing wrong with a bunch of Aspies talking to each other.
What offends me is those who refer to themselves as "victims" of Asperger's Syndrome and those who insist it is the most difficult thing that could happen to a person. One person that didn't have Asperger's Syndrome expressed her sympathy for the creator of the deviation.
We are not victims, we are different and unique people. Just because our brains work differently does not mean our lives are miserable. We do not need to be felt sorry for, for we are perfectly capable of doing whatever we please, just in a different manner than a person without Asperger's or Autism Spectrum Disorder.
I do not agree nor disagree that Asperger's Syndrome is difficult. Difficulty is in the eye of the beholder (of AS). I personally found my life before I knew I had Asperger's syndrome much more difficult than after I discovered the truth. Before I learned about Asperger's Syndrome, all I could do was wonder what was wrong with me and what prevented me from being a normal human being. After learning about Asperger's, I know that I AM a normal human being, I just have a brain that works differently than most.
Life is difficult for any and all people, being autistic doesn't change this.
We are not disabled, we are differently-abled.

For more of my autistic thoughts, go to [link]. I won't lie, the posts get a little rant-like sometimes. And I'm probably going to put this post in said blog.
